Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak (6461m) is well known by the climbers in Nepal as it is frequently proposed for  expeditions. It is located in the Everest region, essentially at the South of Mt. Everest (8848m). The region is said to have been extensively explored by British expeditions in the early 50’s. Climbing of this peak is straightforward, although challenging and rewarding.  From the top of the peak, you can have plenty of awesome views , especially views of Mt. Everest that you hardly see from other areas. As Mera peak climbing is generally combined with trekking to the Everest base camp , you will go through various Sherpa settlements, you will pass numerous Buddhist monasteries and many more. You also will have an opportunity to explore yet unexplored areas in the Everest region with outstanding scenic views of the giants  like Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m), Mt. Makalu (8463m),Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m) as well as other mountains   mountains of  the Everest region. Trekking of Mera peak climbing begins with a direct flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu or to Lukla or to Tumlingtar and follows the classic trail to this particular peak. After some excursion around,  you will return to Kathmanduback along the same route.
