Poonhill Family Treks

This is a short trek, the goal of which is to follow a trail with constant stunning sceneries nearby the famous city of Pokhara  in the Annapurna region. The trek is easy enough to allow the participation of parents with young children.

The trek passes through particualr Gurung villages like Ghandruck and Landdruck, sitting  on both sides of a spectacular deep valley with the trail almost completely made of paved steps going up and down. The Gurung villages are typical of this ethnic group,  with its local agriculture, its rituals and festivals which constitute one of the major attraction of the trek. Another point of interest of the region is the Australian camp.

In sight for most of the hike are the imposant mountains of the Annapurna Himal:  the Annapurna South (7219m), the Hichuli (6441m), the holy  Machhapuchre (6996m), the Mardi himal as well as many other attractions of Nepal Himalayas.
