Trekking in family is the most exciting activity. Glacier Family Treks organizes such family trips in particular regions of Nepal. One of these is the Annapurna trekking area. During this trail, we cross a conservation area which protects the wildlife of the region, its natural landscapes and variety of vegetation like the rhododendron, the Nepal’s national flower, and the spring orchids. You are going to live sunrises and sunsets in the mountains and meet local culture and customs.
As Nepal is a mixed society made of different ethnic groups and castes, there are plenty of particular types of rituals, dialects, religions and celebrations. In this region, Gurung and Magar are two well known ethnic groups as they fought in the 2nd world war as part of the Gorkha soldiers. Poonhill Family trek exposes you to plenty of high montain scenery. Two of them, the Dhawalagiri-I (8167m) and Annapurna-I (8091m) dominate high mountains and chains (Himal in Nepalese language) like the holy mountain Machhapuchhre (6993), the Nilgiri, the Annapurna South (7219m), the Hiuchuli (6441m), the Mardi Himal, the Tukuche Peak and many others famous mountains. During the October-November, serpent and lively standing paddy fields welcome your great presence.
