Ganesh Himal Trekking

The Ganesh Himal trekking is poorly popular among tourists who find in Nepal the opportunity to meet a broad spectrum of  different community lifestyles and natural scenes. However, this trail leads to the Ganesh Himal base camp with its two lakes, the Black and White lakes, and its two waterfalls, the Ganga and Jamuna, which bring enchantment along the trail. It is therefore recommended by those trekkers who have had the curiosity to chose it, although it is still not as popular as the  Annapurna or Everest regions, or even the Langtang region. The exotic mountain views and the rhododendrons forests dominate in spring season: March-April. In Gorkha village one can visit the birth place of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal. Indeed, Prithvi Narayan Shah, the King of Gorkha, has united during the second half of the eighteen century the tiny kingdoms that composed before him, the territory of the Kathmandu valley and spread his kingdom all over. His royal palace can still be seen on the top of the hill in Gorkha, which is also the homeland of the Gorkha warriors.

This trekking begins in Trisuli,  after 4 hours of driving from Kathmandu and ends at Gorkha, before returning to Kathmandu.
