Kanchanjunga Region Trekking

Kanchenjunga region is another prized trekking destination in Nepal. The name of this region itself is the name of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 m), the third highest mountain in the world. It is located in the Eastern part of Nepal, close to the border with Sikkim. Mt. Kanchenjunga was conquered in 1955 by British expedition team, although the first serious attempt was already made in 1905 by the occultist Aleister Crowley. This region is considered to be one of the most unspoiled, because one of the less explored trekking trail, still awaiting tourist’s arrival. This is therefore particularly suited for exploration of  wild nature, for discovery of unheard landscapes, rivers and streams, for meeting authentic cultures and traditions of the  different ethnic groups living in the area. Apart from Mt. Kanchenjunga, you will have have awesome views of two other summit of more than 8000m,  Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Makalu, as well of many other mountains in the range of 6000-7000m.  Before reaching higher altitude, the trail passes through thick jungle full of wild animals, flowers and birds.
