Annapurna circuit trek

The Annapurna Circuit trek, also called the Round Annapurna trek proposes a trip around the Annapurna Himalayan range, bringing the trekkers through  various villages of different ethnic groups and giving them the chance to explore a variety of cultures and lifestyles, including rich flora and fauna. At the same time, it provides really mind blowing views of majestic Himalayan mountains like Mt. Annapurna-I (8091m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Manaslu (8163m), Mt. Annapurna-II (7937m), Mt. Annapurna-III (7555m), Mt. Annapurna-IV (7525), Mt. Nilgiri (7041m), Mt. Machhapuchre (6998m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6986m), Tilicho Peak (7229m), Mt. Gangapurna (7454m) and many more.

The trail climbs along the Marshyandi river before the Thorung Pass (5416m) and descends along the Kaligandaki river after the pass. It ends either with a flight or a  land transportation from Jomsom to Pokhara, or a prolonged trek down the Kaligandaki river to Tatopani, and a climb through Ghorepani before a descent to Pokhara.  Generally, people chose a flight to Pokhara, what is more relaxing after the effort of crossing the Thorung La. However, the land transportation, or the prolonged trek, leads you across the deepest gorge in the world flanked by the giant Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan ranges.

All these features make your trip very special, rewarded and memorable. The Round Annapurna trek commences at Besi Sahar-Syange to Dharapani-Chame-Pisang village then to Manang through Upper Pisang Village, to Thorung Phedi before heading down to Muktinath  (3780m)-Jomsom (2720m) via the Thorung La (5416m),  the highest point of the circuit.
